Flipbook is a web application developed by Britt Woolf, Brandon Norris, and Lochlan Hehr as part of the curriculum for Omaha Code School.
Flipbook utilizes pictures from a user's Instagram to create an animated gif, known as a flipbook. Flipbook offers customization options such as how many pictures and the speed of the gif. The user can then share their flipbook on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.
Norris and Woolf first began work on Flipbook on Monday, March 24th, 2014, as their first major group project for Omaha Code School. Their initial concept of Flipbook was to provide an easy way to create progress gifs, such as tracking the progress of artwork and architecture being created.
Their group was joined by Hehr later that week. They completed the first version of Flipbook on Friday, March 28th, 2014.
